FAQs

What is Single Volunteers Boston (SVB)?
Single Volunteers Boston (SVB) is a Greater Boston based nonprofit that offers one time volunteer events for singles looking to meet others thru community service. SVB acts as a volunteer clearing house, providing nonprofit agencies with volunteers while providing volunteers with a convenient, fun and efficient way to volunteer. We are not a dating or matchmaking service.

What are the requirements to volunteer?
The requirements to join SVB are:

* You must be 21 years of age or older.
* You must affirm that you have read and understand the volunteer agreement in its entirety. Please see read our volunteer agreement. (below)
* You must be single (not married or in a committed relationship unless holding a leadership position). Please see our partners listing for a list of other nonprofits if you are not eligible to participate with SVB.
* If you agree to participate in a project, you must arrive at the project site on time. Since you are making a commitment to SVB and our Nonprofit Partner to volunteer at the event, please try to give us 48 hours notice if you need to cancel. This gives us time to fill your volunteer slot.
